central wisconsin christian school: academic calendar
In 2022, I had the opportunity to create an academic year calendar for Central WI Christian School in Waupun, WI. I was tasked to create a branded calendar highlighting school events, from early releases, to concerts, and the end of academic quarters. I integrated the school theme and 75th Anniversary branding for the September spread, highlighting the theme with a mixed typographic logo to accompany the 75th logo. October through August each centered on a key tenent of the Teaching for Transformation (TfT) concept. I was asked to use graphics provided by Teaching for Transformation and stylize them to keep them unique to the school. I chose to lean into the illustrative style of each image and render them like they were stickers. After choosing a location for each sticker, I set each idealogy in a bold font and then added Teaching for Transformation’s description of each core tenant.
I created and adapted each grid by hand to fit the number of days in each month. After coming up with a color system for each type of event, I focused on setting each school event or holiday on the affected dates. Finally, I added the month and year to each calendar page in a bold, legible font.
